Halloween gift tag freebie

It's fall ya'll. Well right now in Provo, UT  it is grey and raining. But, Halloween is just around the corner and I thought I should make a fun Halloween gift tag for treats to share with you. You could even use it in a Halloween digital scrapbook layout.

Don't Put off your Happy Life

Don't put off going to bear lake with friends and or family. ( In this case it was Eric and Leslie and then we met up with the Petersen family.) Don't put off going to a demolition derby in Rich County. Don't put off going to the Paris Ice caves, there is really ice in August in there! Don't put off riding in a orange holiday star craft inboard out board motor, 1979 mark cruiser 140 (Eric's description of his new boat.) Don't pass by a rope swing and not take your turn. Don't put off riding in the back of a pick-up truck down a dirt road with a burly bearded guy in a plaid shirt. Life is too short not to remember to do the things that make you happy.

A summer visit from my beautiful niece inspired this layout and new kit called, Live your life on purpose.

She was taking pictures at the Alpine Loop with her Uncle Robbie's camera. A free download of the kit with more elements will be availble soon. Check back for the freebie.

Good Eats

Some people keep food journals for weight loss or health reasons, but that doesn't have to be the only reason. I journal about food because I love to go to new places and try new things.  Below is a layout using a new digital design kit for food journaling called Good Eats.

While we were in LA to visit friends, we met my brother in law, at a place a round the corner from his house called Philippe's. This place is home to the "French Dipped Sandwich". This location we visited is one of the oldest resteraunts in Southern California and we saw a great mix of old guy regulars, hipsters and tourists. It was established in 1908 but it wasn't til about ten years later that the "French Dipped Sandwich" was created. The owner Philippe Mathieu, while making a sandwich dropped  it accidently into a roasting pan filled with juice still hot from the oven. The patron, said he would go ahead and take the sandwich anyway and came back the next day with some friends asking for more of those dipped sandwiches. That is how they claim it happened, and I am sure glad it did. Well worth the visit!

Digital Scrapbook Kits Coming Soon

So I have had an interest in going digital in my memory keeping, for a while. Recently I got going on it and discovered a whole lot of designers doing very inspiring layouts. I also have had friends ask me to share my design talents and teach them some secrets. So I will be teaching 3 classes in June on how to get started with digital scrapbooking. As I finish up writing content for those classes I will share some tips here as well. Very soon, I will be sharing some digital scrapbook kits for free, so check back soon if you are interested.
