Good Eats
Some people keep food journals for weight loss or health reasons, but that doesn't have to be the only reason. I journal about food because I love to go to new places and try new things. Below is a layout using a new digital design kit for food journaling called Good Eats.

While we were in LA to visit friends, we met my brother in law, at a place a round the corner from his house called Philippe's. This place is home to the "French Dipped Sandwich". This location we visited is one of the oldest resteraunts in Southern California and we saw a great mix of old guy regulars, hipsters and tourists. It was established in 1908 but it wasn't til about ten years later that the "French Dipped Sandwich" was created. The owner Philippe Mathieu, while making a sandwich dropped it accidently into a roasting pan filled with juice still hot from the oven. The patron, said he would go ahead and take the sandwich anyway and came back the next day with some friends asking for more of those dipped sandwiches. That is how they claim it happened, and I am sure glad it did. Well worth the visit!

I may have a diffrent layout idea when I get all the pictures from the trip from my husband's hardrive. But in the meantime thought these pics were fun place holders to try a layout with the new kit.

Preview of whats to come
Digital Scrapbook Kits Coming Soon
So I have had an interest in going digital in my memory keeping, for a while. Recently I got going on it and discovered a whole lot of designers doing very inspiring layouts. I also have had friends ask me to share my design talents and teach them some secrets. So I will be teaching 3 classes in June on how to get started with digital scrapbooking. As I finish up writing content for those classes I will share some tips here as well. Very soon, I will be sharing some digital scrapbook kits for free, so check back soon if you are interested. For now here is a sneak peak of a kit I designed that was auctioned off for the HART Gala. Congrats to Jane Thorpe for winning it.

New Poster Design -Great Cause
This is a poster I recently designed for HART (Humanitarian Aid Relief Team)
They have a Gala Dinner coming up which all proceeds go to fund their next mission to Ghana. Let me know if you are interested in attending, I have tickets to sell.
